My first experience in Thomas’s retreat this weekend: I came into this retreat not knowing what to expect. And boy was I blown away. The environment Thomas created facilitated such a space for openness, vulnerability, presence, camaraderie, and healing. As soon as I arrived, I started to feel more open and connected and in a state of flow. And then the actual retreat began: I’ve been having many issues in my relationship with money. Its been stressful and hard for me to spend money on myself, and ive been afraid that any spending i have is a stupid investment that ill regret later, which may eventually lead to being broke or homeless, boring dead end job, etc. ive been afraid of not being taken care of, and being taken advantage of. All of these issues were addressed on retreat, and now i feel a lot more confident and safe and fulfilled about spending money and investing in myself and also giving to others (thanks Devanshu). Another issue I’ve been facing is that its hard for me to truly trust people when I get really close to them. This was also revealed and blown away with love, especially when i realized that we all have moments of feeling lonely and isolated, and i was met with the most love by everyone else at retreat with this. Everyone came in to support me, and I realized that I can share these feelings openly, and that I’m not alone, which is a completely different angle from before the retreat. This realization has started to break a huge pattern. We had many other intimate conversations, and i have made lifelong friendships on this retreat. The others that i met were all really wholesome loving and dependable people, and i feel so blessed to have spent this time with them. It felt like we were all gathered around a campfire, and we all had each-others backs. A true feeling of community and family, as deep as I’ve ever felt. Thank you guys. Ill remember this retreat for the rest of my life, and I cant count the many number of blessings i received. I’ll certainly be back for another round. Thank you Thomas for putting 10000% of your effort into hosting this and guiding everyone so personally, i felt every single drop of your care. Looking forward to the next time!
