You read page after page of what reads like over-hyped fanboy cult nonsense, the curiosity eats away at you, then finally you talk to the guy to find out that you were unprepared for how bonkers him and his ideas really are. He walks you through how your feelings actually work and you're left staring at the train wreck that is your lifetime of dysfunctional coping mechanisms. He cuts away layer after layer of everything that isn't you and leaves you alone in a room with a mirror. You're left lost in the shambles of what you thought was your reality. You don't know what this all means, who you are anymore, or where this nut case is leading you. And there you are sitting there alone after the call not sure if you're more afraid of him or what's left of yourself, yet somehow the curiosity is stronger than the fear and you have to go deeper. It's horrifying. That's what the first call with Thomas is like.
