Some recent retreat insights.

Some recent retreat insights.

Retreats are big big big spiritual energy and have a lot emotional downloads. People shift a lot of material and have big openings.

The second thing to know is that it’s very individualized, the experience is personal. So each group teaches me more and helps me grow. I also make everyone who comes on retreat teach something to everyone else for at least 1 hour as part of the retreat.

Everyone is a teacher on these, because the experience is about empowerment and self mastery as well as social dynamics.

Low sun glows over a grassy mountain meadow ringed by tall pines under a blue sky with clouds.

Often we start practice at 5:30am and can go until 9pm with a mix of singing, chanting, exercises and talks, with folks staying up hours later filled with the energy talking into the night. Part of the fun is being tired in a good way - it lets the energies move.

The last thing, the thing I’ve been happiest about, is that the retreat focuses on seva, the energy of service. Cooking, cleaning, taking care of each other, helping each other is all vital to the atmosphere and the energy download. The next retreat is already sold out, so when it’s done I’ll post more thoughts!
