Be kind. Be strong.

Be empathetic, not sympathetic. Be understanding, not judgmental.

Empathy connects your heart to theirs. Sympathy subconsciously positions pain as bad, and perpetuates a vague lack of gratitude and lack of acceptance. Do not be sympathetic. We are all given the gift of pain and suffering in this life, none of us are spared, regardless of our fortunes. Pain is not something to fear. It is a dear friend. More love, more pain.

Pain is one of our strongest fuels.
